Hey Pete Creasy……You were always a fan of The Sparkles, especially performing at the Midland High Youth Center, so here’s a little flashback photo of them backing me up on a Rock n’ Roll Show back in 1981. You’ll notice their drummer, Lucky Floyd, in the background, givin’ me that “rock on, get with it” grin! ! What a 180 thrill for me…..my Youth Center Band Heroes, and here they are backing me up! Dreams do sometimes come true. Is this a great world, or what?
My best to you…..and Rock On.
Dennis, thanks for sharing the great photo. You obviously were putting on quite a show with your guitar. I can perfectly understand why it was such a thrill for you. Handsome pair of shoes, by the way, that matched well with your cuffed jeans and white socks…the shoes would be fun to have today.
And, speaking of Lucky Floyd, one of the songs The Sparkles always did featured Lucky with an incredible drum solo. It was always a big hit that definitely got the full attention of everyone there.
Those were the days, indeed!

Wemasario, did Jimi learn the behind the head move from you?
Jimi definitely did learn this from Wemo. Wemo invented this move and should have kept the patent on the shoes.
